When is the next Night Market in VALORANT?

As a free-to-play game, VALORANT brings in money through a monetization model that focuses on weapon skins and other cosmetic items. Players can pick up these cosmetics by progressing through the battle pass or buying up to four random daily store listings, but a limited-time Night Market will offer a grab bag of special skins at a discounted price, and it’s a great opportunity to spice up your collection.

Though VALORANT is known for having expensive skin bundles, it’s entirely possible to follow a budget-friendly approach while collecting skins—and that’s where the Night Market comes in.

The skins showcased in the Night Market will be picked at random, and players will need to get lucky to land their favorite skins. Players will have a choice of up to six skins from a variety of bundles for different weapons, with varying discount percentages offered. The skins you get in your Night Market are completely random, but you won’t see any skins that you already have. Only certain collections are eligible to be featured in the Night Market.

Even though you won’t be able to reroll any of the items, you might be able to get a second chance at the skin you want since the VALORANT Night Market is an event that returns once every Act. Looking for a Recon Phantom, a Prelude to Chaos Vandal, or maybe a Prime Karambit? Here’s when you can look forward to seeing the Night Market make its return, and make sure you don’t miss it.

When is VALORANT’s next Night Market?

Typically, Night Markets go live during the last two to three weeks of an Episode’s Act and stay up until the next Act. The last Night Market ran from Aug. 9 to 28 alongside the end of Episode Seven, Act One.

Riot has announced the dates for Episode Seven, Act Two’s Night Market. It will commence on Oct. 11 and end on Oct. 30.

You’ll have plenty of time to deliberate over which skins from your Night Market you’d like to add to your collection once the shop goes live, as your random skins won’t change for the duration of the two to three weeks.

During the Night Market, your normal store will continue to refresh every day as usual with each skin’s standard pricing.

Following the ending of the current active Night Market, players should expect the next one to begin towards the end of Episode Seven, Act Two, which will fall around the last week of October.

Riot Games only unveils the Night Market dates a few days before it arrives, at most a week before. So if you’re wondering when the next Night Market will be to plan out your spending, take a look at the previous Night Market dates to get a good idea of when the next one could arrive.

All skin collections eligible for VALORANT’s next Night Market

Unfortunately, the newest skins in the game will never appear in the Night Market after they’ve been released. For Episode Seven, Act One, the newest skin bundle you’ll be able to see in your market will be skins from Episode Six, Act One. In addition, Exclusive and Ultra tier skins will never appear in the Night Market, nor will limited-time event bundles like the Arcane or VCT Champions skins, for example.

Cross your fingers that the skins you want will appear for your most-used weapons.

How does Night Market in VALORANT work?

Once the Night Market begins, you’ll see a black, rectangular box on the top-right of the game’s screen. Click on it, and you’ll be presented with six color-coded cards, each hiding a gun/knife skin and a corresponding discounted price. Interact with the cards to reveal the offers you earned.

Night Market hosts skins at discounts ranging from 10 to 49 percent, unlike the Daily Store, which offers skins at their usual base price. The discounts vary, and may not always impress you. Every player gets a different Night Market.

You can distinguish the type of skin behind the card before revealing it by the card’s color: blue is for Select Edition gun skins, green is for Deluxe Edition gun skins, pink is for Premium Edition gun skins, and yellow is for any melee skins.

You can usually expect at least two knife skins or Premium Edition skins in a Night Market collection. No more than two skins of the same weapon can appear, however, this rule does not apply to skins from the same bundle.

It is entirely possible that you may not receive the weapon skin you always wanted. Be prepared to be disappointed.

You cannot reroll Night Market skins. If you don’t unveil the skins of your choice, the only option you have is to wait for the next Night Market or continue to check your store every day. It’s all a game of luck.

How long does a Night Market last in VALORANT?

Night Markets last for a few weeks before being rotated out of the game. Once revealed, the offers will be available for you to grab until the store leaves—you will have enough time to plan your purchase. The last Night Market was up for 19 days.

From VALORANT’s release in 2020 until 2022, the Night Market stayed in the game for a maximum of two weeks or 14 days. Riot, however, deviated from the trend for Episode Five, Act Three’s Night Market, which remained in the game for almost a month.

Ever since then, the time frame for the temporary store has seen an increase—both Episode Six, Act One, and Episode Six, Act Two hosted their Night Markets for 20 days.
